ATM: Top 5 Beauty Picks

1. Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter.

This cleansing balm is so light and silky making it perfect for young skin. I find a lot of cleansing balms very heavy but this cleanses really deeply but still keeps its heavenly texture. It turns into a really nice oil as you rub it in, perfect for a DIY face massage. Its also brilliant to use with the clarisonic, if you so wish. And to top it all of its only £12, easy on the purse and a brilliant product, what more could you want?

2. Jurlique Rose Hand Cream.

Sinks in oh so quickly but still gets the job done and it smells incredible! Im obsessed with anything rose scented and this one is really hard to describe - almost a slightly fruity light rose, but still definitely rose (can you tell I won't be doing any perfume reviews). All in all a hand cream that is a pleasure to use, I have a few in different sizes dotted around my life.

3. Dior Airflash CC Primer.

This creates healthy looking glowy skin. It can be used on its own on incredible skin days to give the face a bit of life or under foundation for the slightly less perfect among us. I spray some on the back of my hand then apply to cheeks, nose and forehead with a buffing brush.

4. Bobbi Brown Corrector. - Light to Medium Bisque.

A little pot of pink magic, the perfect colour to erase any dark circles that crop up (far too often in my case). This layered with any concealer over the top to even out the colour then given a bit of a blend with the real techniques miracle complexion sponge - or a finger - and voila! Beautiful smooth and awake face, like I said, magic.

5. St Tropez Self Tan Classic Spray.

A light fine spray that I think is the way to go for us lazy girls out there. I am partial to haphazardly spraying it until the point that I conclude it has probably covered the important bits, then throw my clothes on and get on with my day. I know all logic dictates that this must end in disaster but it somehow still results in a beautiful even tan with out the dreaded orange palms. The only problem with this is the nozzle does get a bit rebellious towards the end of it's life, but this is something I am more than willing to put up with.

This list could probably have been about 100 items long but the rest of the items have been stashed away in my little book of secrets so any lovely readers have lots to look forward to.

Summer 2014, A First Glimpse At Summers Top Trends

As Summer is only a stone’s throw away, it was thought that it would be suitable to provide a post that features some of my favourite apparel items that have been hyped up for this years summer season essentials. 2014 has seen the return of many timeless fashion trends; from old school athletic, florals and tartans to off the shoulder pieces, amongst many. This Summer we will see the revival of long skirts, the new avant-garde dark looks, sandals and once again pretty pastels.

My personal favourite of this years Summer essentials has to be the great comeback of sandals. Whether they are flat-form, heeled or standard flats they are a top buy for this summer. They are great to wear for various occasions; festivals, holidays, BBQs and everyday wear.

Nobody can deny the great impact the Kimono has had on this years Spring/Summer wardrobe. This item can be worn to every occasion whether it being out for drinks or a day out in town. A brilliant cool layer for those warm summer days.

The Skort. An item that until this year was long forgotten, and only okay for tennis players to wear. This piece is able to be dressed up with heels and jewellery for a night out on the town, or dressed down with a pair of converse trainers and a vest top.

These short length baggy thigh trousers are back on my top buy list. Due to their tight waist and ankles they show off your figure by hugging you in the places you want ,and being loose in those other places where you don’t always feel comfortable. Great for every-day attire with sandals, trainers and a crop top.

Here are some examples of outfits, using my top essential items

Lets break the ice.

Lets get things started: a little introduction to us both.

My name is Scarlet and I was a first year Sociology student at the University of Manchester but, thats right, I'm a drop-out. When I say this to people they generally shoot a sympathetic look my way assuming something awful must have happened for me to leave University but there is no need. The course just wasn't for me which I have come to terms with, however, this now leaves me in the big scary world and some time to write about what I love.
That would pretty much include anything to do with face, I LOVE ALL THINGS FACE! I know there are a lot of beauty gurus out there but I just thought I would add my humble voice to the crowd and hopefully entertain a few of you on the way.

First things first, my names Kristy. A current student at the University of Loughborough, in my first year of my BA degree in English and Drama. When I haven't got my head stuck in a book or performing you will most likely find me on twitter, instagram or with my nose in one of my favourite fashion magazines. Fashion has to be one of my dominant passions, and I am delighted to be able to share my views and style over this inter web experience.
My portion of the blog will explore all things apparel. This includes; clothing, bags, shoes and other accessories. I hope my fashion edit will amuse and captivate future readers, I look forward to writing for you all.
